I had my first ever auto accident on June 29, 2017. A truck with oversized tires hit me in the rear of my auto while I was stopped in traffic. It was a hit and run accident. I had a witness, called the police, filed a report, notified my agent the next day. I did all I thought I was supposed to but realized from the very start that I would get the runaround.

Foolishly, I thought my unflawed driving record and no claims on my auto or home, that State Farm would see me as a 74-year-old safe driver, and treat me fairly. HaHa.

My car is in its 6th month of being out of my venue of use, and State Farm has had it at the body shop, and not the one I asked for…and had an appointment with, since about October 3rd.

They had sent adjustors repeatedly, trying to find anything they could to total my vehicle. But, they have lied to me verbally and in other forms, causing me to file a complaint with the State Insurance Commission. My representative there is kind but seems either useless or helpless.

They want to give me a pittance for my car, and yet another person from State Farm (in Washington this time) says she will work with the home office to get the valuation on my auto increased. However, that was weeks ago, and no work yet.

My only apparent injury is a new pain in my neck that is causing headaches. I have spent so much on auto rental and taxis, that I can’t afford to see my orthopaedist, because of the copay. I just hurt and bear it.

On a walk home from the store this past Friday, I had an unexpected conversation with a young woman, an RN, who was having a nightmare with her insurance company due to an auto claim. As it turned out, she had State Farm also, and even the same agent as me.

I can send you much more paperwork to go with this outline, including my claim with the State, if you see any value in attempting me work this mess out.

I think it’s a good idea to get a car accident attorney as quickly as possible. Auto Accidents can be scary not only physically but mentally too. If you get into an accident with someone that doesn’t like you then you will definitely need an attorney.

Think I talked to you before but not sure. My slip and fall happened at store 107 in Martin Tn 38237 on December 20, 2016 and as you see my clock is ticking. The reason for the fall was a rug that had migrated on the floor from exit traffic and should have been secured according to ADA 303. This migration caused a transition change of more than 1/2 inch causing the fall. This had been on going and my witness had reported it prior to this date. I sustained deep soft tissue trauma and was treated by my Dr. in Collierville Tn because he replaced both hips. The last hip in Oct 16. He did xrays to determine any joint damage and then treated with medication. He also set up physical therapy at Campbell Clinic in Collerville. MCI will not settle. You heard this before!

I fell in Walmart on a wet floor. Although I didn’t break any bones, I did hurt my right side, knee, back. I am very sore! The insurance rep,Morgan is telling me that she has seen the video of me falling and that Walmart is not responsible.
She nor Walmart will allow me to see the video. They are claiming that signs we’re there saying wet floor.
I believe that was not the case. I’m not sue happy, but I think they are being dishonest.

At fault driver has State Farm. I have injuries and wonder do I proceed on my own with State Farm’s claims handler in hopes of expeditious results, or get legal assistance. Took care of my totaled car through my own insurance.

Hello, this is another senseless tragedy that could be avoided 100% of times. Having said that, I have an instance to propose to you that shows there more to this than just slowing down…
I was driving a semi WB on I-10 in the Beaumont area a few years ago and a DPS officer had a car on the shoulder on the blind side of an overpass bridge. In the instant I saw him I put my signal on to move to the left lane. When I put my signal on I had room to start moving but a car sped up and took that space. Then the officer tripped and fell backwards into the right lane, landing on his back. At that point, I had an unavoidable choice… run the officer over or force this ignorant SOB in the left lane in the median. Needless to say, the officer was ok and I don’t believe the SOB learned a thing except to hone his cussing and hand signals.
You are correct, people are always in a hurry but they are also self-centered, ignorant and have no room for anyone in front of them; ESPECIALLY SEMI’S! after that happened I stopped at the Sealy truck stop to have breakfast with my wife. There were two DPS officers there eating also. When they finished, I introduced myself and said I had a question to ask and told them of the incident that happened in Beaumont. I told them that the incident could have been avoided if the car would have allowed me over instead of speeding up and closing the gap. The officers said they didn’t notice anything like that taking place on the highway. I told them this IS taking place and someone is gonna get killed because it is getting worse by the day and these people need to be ticketed for ignoring these signals on semis. I was politely blown off, no answers, no suggestions, just a dread that I was so close to going to jail for taking the “lesser of the two evils” by saving a man’s life. Now according to your story ANOTHER officer died because of stupidity. Maybe it’s time for high priced tickets to be written for laws that have been in the books for years for reckless, careless, let’s not forget impaired and soon to be first…DISTRACTED driving! Why roll the dice with people’s lives, there’s laws being broken on the highway every minute, every state. Start writing tickets; it’s justified.

Hello. I was the front car of a three car accident. (In Jan) I was stopped at a red light and a teenager on his phone hit us and the second car rear ended me.
